vorarlberg museum – bottoms up

2013-06-20-10.22.42Its façade is graced by thousands of bottoms – concrete prints of plastic bottle bottoms, that is. Might this be because among the region’s industrial stars there’s the one who makes just this – plastic bottles, i.e. preforms for them?  Tongue-in-cheek culture? Yeah, big time. The new Vorarlberg Museum shows what was and what is, next to the famous Kunsthaus and the Festspiele. So there’s another must-see in Brigantium, as Bregenz was called by it’s countless Roman settlers.

      Vorarlberg is the only federal state of Österreich, that has the word BERG (mountain) in its name 😉
