It’s all in his eyes. One of the reasons why Tom Hopper has been cast for the role of Asbjörn in NORTHMEN – A VIKING SAGA is the boy behind the man, says Swiss director Claudio Fäh: “It’s a blessing to have Tom Hopper starring as the hero Asbjörn. Beneath this massive, well-trained body there’s a boy with delicate features and a big loyalty. He’s a mountain of a man, but his eyes are very soft, and that makes Asbjörn the perfect leader of the Vikings.”

Tom Hopper was born 1985 in Coalville, Leicestershire, UK. He studied acting at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, and (I’m repeating myself, I know): This here is a theatre man – somehow the experience with a live audience shapes an actor differently from what TV and film alone do. However, the TV-series MERLIN in which he played Sir Percival made Tom Hopper known to a broader public. Films like TORMENTED, COLD (written and directed by Eoin Macken) and drama series BLACK SAILS are adding to his fame.
