PLAY wins Nordic Council Film Price 2012

The Swedish film PLAY by director and writer Ruben Östlund and producer Erik Hemmendorff ( see our review here ) has won the 2012 Nordic Council Film award. The jury there is made up of members of all five Nordic countries, and it’s the second time in a row that a Swedish film has won. “A very worthy winner”, says Anna Serner, CEO of the Swedish Film Institute ( Ristrettofacts concurs … :))

Oct. 31 the prize – 350,000 DKK (450 000 USD) – will be handed over in Helsinki.
