Ok, I picked my fav song on the new GOTTHARD album: RED ON A SLEEVE (scroll down for the lyrics) sounds like I remember GOTTHARD from the times I saw then rocking the stage with Deep Purple. Nic Maeder sings this heavy metal track with as much honey as steel in his voice. Superb!
RED ON A SLEEVE
Somewhere in the distance, somewhere in the dark
Wrong side of a right place, thereʼs a hole in a heart
Real face of the night side, and the cracks in the wall
One way on a down ride and its running out of fall
Somewhere in a back street
In a fall out of grace
Somewhere thereʼs a heartbeat
With a name and a face
Red on a sleeve, hidden beneath now
Would you believe all that can be allowed?
Red on a sleeve
Down, down and hiding, with the light comes the shame
Downpour itʼs crying, all the rivers and the rain
More power than thunder, sting more than a bite
Itʼs coming from under, itʼs the truth of the night
Somewhere in a back street
In a fall out of grace
Somewhere thereʼs a heartbeat
With name and a face
Red on a sleeve, hidden beneath now
Would you believe all that can be allowed?
Red on a sleeve
Red on a sleeve
Somewhere in a back street
In a fall out of grace
Somewhere thereʼs a heartbeat
a name and a face
Red on a sleeve, hidden beneath now
Would you believe all that can be allowed?
Red on a sleeve
Red on a sleeve
The songs on this album are more predictable than the ones of old gotthard – but still good rock of a band that knows what they are doing.
